Patrick Lee

PLeePatrick Lee is the founder of Promote the Vote, a non-partisan movement increasing voter turnout through dialogue. While traditional outreach campaigns speak directly to people who do not vote, Promote the Vote asks people who already vote to encourage their friends and family to cast ballots too. The project is based on the idea that people listen to friends and family and that at current voter turnout levels, everyone knows someone who does not vote. When he is not promoting the vote, Patrick works for the Provincial Health Services Authority in BC, helping clinics access language services for patients with limited English proficiency. He is a leader in the Lower Mainland Health Authorities’ environmental sustainability program and has a long-standing personal interest in community development, urban planning and sustainability.
